    PPM meter?

Hey all, Great info on this forum and some amazing grows!

I have a question about a PPM meter.

Currently and on my last grow I had some problems with yellowing leaves, Im assuming its either nute burn, cal mag def problems.

I am looking to get a PPM meter and dont know which route to go.

Any suggestions on which work the best for the money? I cant spend too much I just bought a 600W Galaxy.

Any great sites or ebay that have the model I should get? Any links would be more then appreciated!

PS- If you have a chance please look at my thread in plant problems I have pics and everything I cannot figure out what is going on.

(I did a PH test lastnight (6.0-6.5) and today the first test showed 4.0 or lower. Then I stirred the water up and it was 6.0 +- a few points?) Its a wicking system with airstones. The res is very small and needs to be topped off every 2 days or so.

wellthe bennefits of being water proof are, well the fact that its water proof sooner or later your going to drop your pen into the bucket that your mixing your nutes into, trust me it will happen.i dont think i have met a person yet that has not done it.umm hm digital has 2 hand held pens that are water proof the TDS-3 and the comm-100 i have never used either of these.i use the cheap hanna 20 doller primo and it works fine. look around the net.your not really saposed to put links to other companies and what not.remeber when u do get a tester to get a couple of small packages of calibration solution.

Sunleaves makes a great TDS meter that is like $35. I've had mine for two years and it has yet to fail me. I would say the only downside is that its hard to calibrate right on 1000 PPM, so its usually off by like 20 which is pretty trivial. Also I am not sure if its waterproof, I've never dropped mine into the water.
