HPS wiring ballast help

Hello there :hippy:

wanted to wire my hps ballast for my 150w hps bulb but cant find the right wiring diagram. i found one but my capacitator have 3 wires coming out and dont know wich colours to wire and can bulb explode if wired incorrect? any comments welcome i have to warm up some seedings thanks.


oh yes ballast is some 250w will it work with 150 w bulb and will it get hot ?

as far as i understand a balllast is rated ONLY for the bulb size recommended. or in other words, you can't use a 150W HPS bulb with a 250W ballast.

Only the INPUT voltage is able the change by re-wiring. 120AC or 220AC, or 277AC, yada yada yada. :dance:

No, you can't change bulb wattages. You'd have to change the whole ballast and put it in your old case. Same with HPS or MH, you need two different ballasts OR a switchable electronic "digital" ballast. :thumbsup:

1000bulbs.com has new ballasts as well as millions of bulbs. :clap:

Is that a 220/240 Ballast? If it says THAT ONLY, no the input voltage cannot be changed. That looks like a VERY NICE ballast, be careful.

I dont think youd blow the bulb up, but you sure could burn something up or start a fire really quick.......

I assume that all of those parts in the picture are from the ORIGINAL assembly?
