Yellow Patches on Leaves
Hello all,
This is my first post on here and I have some yellowing issues with one of my plants. I will try to fill out one of the troubleshooting forms below and also try to attach some pictures. I am not too sure what the issue is and I am hoping someone can help. This is my first time, so maybe I am just missing something.
What is your experience level? First timer
Your Equipment:
.1) Type and wattage of lights.
HPS , have ordered a MH since I heard it was good for the growth stage
.2) Distance from tops?
about 10 inches
.3) Reflector type? (cool tube set-up, bat wing, enclosed reflector, bare bulb...)
Normal reflector, mid range I would say. No cool tube, temp in grow tent hovers around 83F
.4) Is there a consistent fresh air supply?
Yes
.5) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan?
Only circulation fan right now, but I have 2 others on order and should be here very soon. Have a Grow Lab 80L and I leave the vents open to let air in and out
.6) What are the bulb wattages, kelvin ratings, and schedule?
400W, 16/8
Your medium:
.7) Specific brand and type of soil,
Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil. Added some perlite and some extra sand
.8) Size of container.
5gallon buckets
.9) Did you use peat pucks (or similar) to root clones or germinate seedlings?
Bought some clones.
Your nutrients and water:
10) Source of water? (tap, bottled or filtered) What's it's ph before adjusting?
6.8 to 7. I let the water sit out for about 24+ hours before using.
11) Method of checking water ph. (ph pen, test strips, aquarium test kit...)
Test Strips and have a PH probe tester, but I trust the strips more
12) Method of adjusting water ph. (phosphoric acid, white vinegar, hydrated lime, PH Up...)
Have not adjusted it yet as I am only a little over a week into the grow. I have been getting some low reading on my probe tester, but the strips usually register about 6.5 to 7 pH.
13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule.
I plan to use EcoGrow fert. Its a 2 part system. Part A is 5-0-3 and Part B is 3-4-5. The package says to mix a tsp of each into a gallon of water and then mix the two. I plan to start with a half tsp of each at first.
14) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering?
So far every two days. and about a quart per plant. Some of it drains out of the buckets, so I am thinking that my drainage is good.
15) Any additives or tea's? (Superthrive, CalMag, molasses, Mother's Earth...)
Not yet
16) Are your ph levels stable, or do they fluctuate?
They seem to hover around 6 to 7 usually in the 6.5 to 7 range
17) What is your ingoing water's ph? ...your runoff ph?
About 7
18) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray?
Not yet, But I did spill some water on the leaves while watering. Maybe this could be an issue?
Your growroom:
19) Indoors or outdoors?
Indoors, Grow Lab 80L
20) What size of closet, room or hut?
2'7" X 4'11" X 6'7"
21) What are the temps and humidity levels while lights are on? ...With lights off?
On: ~83F 30% humidity
Off: Not sure but probably drops into the 75 region and humidity is around the same
22) Have you seen signs of insects in the growroom?
No
Your strain:
23) What strain are you growing? (Indica dominate or Sativa dom?)
OG Kush - Depending on where I look some say sativa, some say hybrid.
24) From seeds or clones?
Clones
25) Is this an autoflower strain?
I Dont think so
--------------------
if anyone has any ideas I would be very interested to know what my problem might be. Please let me know if I can give any other information. I am going to try to attach some pictures to this. A couple of the pictures show a air purifier. Its just a cheap store bought carbon filter. I am using this until I get my can filter which should be here today. It does noting but suck air through a very thin layer of carbon.

Yellow Patches on Leaves
I think you're getting a bit of light-bleaching ... 10" is too close for a 400watt lamp, with a young plant ... back off to 18" ... also, did you spill a bit of fertilizer-rich water on the leaves ? ... I'm going with the light-bleaching ... good luck :smokin:

Thanks for the info. I have not used any of the fertilizer yet, but was thinking about it soon. I will lift the light up some and see what happens.
Thanks a ton!
