I was laughing when I figured it out. I almost went with a 12' vortex. The 8" is serving me well. I'm getting a 6" vortex to run with 2 5' light tubes. I'll vent from outside to outside so I don't create a vacuum in the basement or need for more carbon filters I'll run 2 1,000 watt lights in each tube. Just have one set up now but am tripling available space next month.
greeri Reviewed by greeri on . ventilation problems I ran into some problems recently with my furnace. It was smoking real bad when it shut off. The furnace is in the basement along with my bedroom and grow room. I assumed the 40 year old oil furnace finally gave up the ghost and after having 3 people check it I bought a new one. After complete installation the new one smoked. It turned out that my basement was to well sealed and the 8" vortex exhaust fan I am exhausting outside was not allowing the furnace to draw properly out the flue. I Rating: 5
