thank tiny for the reply. what is your timer set time so i can copy that on my timer. and other thing about my built e&f is the water doesnt drain all the way is it ok if still water set there ??? or should i put a bubbler there to because of that still water? if not i gotta unplug the tube from the sub pump so the flow will take most of the water out. pretty ghetto LOL.

how is your tray setup?? Mine has a layer of Hydrotron then the RW blocks and more hydrotron around it. how deep is the standing water your talking about?? simple time for your timer would be every 6 hours for 15 mins each

are u using a sump pump or an aquarium pump? u shouldnt be using a sump.1,if it losses its pressure hold it will stop pumping water"like say u pumped the water up the table 2 fast and the rez was left empty 2.most pumps except i think the little giant will not give u back flow "wich u need, when your timer turns off,a fish tank pump will" this acts as a double drain for your table once the timer has run its course. i could also drill like 2 or 3 1/4 inch holes in the bottom of the table.as long as your rezervoir has an open lid and sits directly under those holes.

fill in the empty space with hydrotron rocks to keep the roots out of the light. You only need to flood about 4 times a day. Maybe more.

If you dont want to use up your rocks u can get a big black bag and cut holes out for plants, it will help with clean up too. i used your same exact setup once and thats what i did, u can then use a white bag on top of the black one to reflect light and heat, But the roots must be in darkness. If thats the 3x3 ebb and flow table i have the same exact one. the bags can be a b*tch sometimes and i wound up finding a lid to a container that i cut holes in for the net pots to sit in and it sat on top of the table. This is where creativity pays off. i searched for a long time and never found a lid insert for this 3x3 system.
