To get anywhere in life we all have to make sacrifices, and many time those sacrifices define who we are as a person. Make a sacrifice now regarding the weed and not only will you have alot fewer problems with your parents, but they will respect you more for it. Then down the road you can smoke all you want, and you still have a good relationship with the people closest to you.

When I was young (started at 15) I smoked alot, but I NEVER took it into my parents house. However, it wasent out of fear, but out of respect and love. They know I smoke now, but they respect me as a man to make my own decisions in life. But I earned their respect by right action, and good decision making.

You will find that is true thoughout your entire life...Respect is earned, not given. No one owes us anything. Our reality is exactly what we make it. It is a cause and effect relation to how we behave, and the decisions we make. In part that it the true definition of "Honor".

Trust me when I say that our parents can be our be friends or our worst enimies in life. How you interact with them now will set the stage on what you would have them be to you. Think about it.

Very well said. Don't burn bridges in life, especially when it comes to family. Family should come first. I had a falling out when I was a kid with pot and stealing from stores etc (late 70's)... It took a long time to get my parents trust back. I'm 41 now, and I look at life alot differently than I did then. Life is too short.

Got caught, need help about 12 days ago i got caught by my dad at night in my yard smokin my pipe...he was sleepin but woke up somehow and came downstairs, we talked and everything, he is convinced weed will make me do other drugs and said under his house i cant smoke or anything...so this sucks cuz now i cant rele get my weed and i cant smoke it anywhere...he says he doesnt trust me anymore either because he knew i tried and it i said i wouldnt do it again( i had to) so he wont let me do anything that needs Rating: 5
