Seen Zombieland tonight! Plus National Zombie Day and Romero!

And it was pretty damn good I suppose.

Not Romero-ish but still entertaining. I went with Rob down to the waterfront in Pittsburgh.

    *sigh*

    Woody Harrilson...grrr haha

The new Romero movie comes out soon, Survival of the Dead and for those of you who know me I am absolutely pumped!

And on Oct. 11th Rob and I are going to the Zombie Walk at Monroeville Mall. It's World Zombie Day and each year they do a remake of Dawn of the Dead. Plus the Zombie Olympics and a Miss Zombie Pagent (Oh I'm going for it guys and gals haha). I'm excited!!!

Yeah, I saw it too myself. Smoked about 3/4 a joint, and chilled with my popcorn and cherry coke. I thought it was pretty good, not as good as my dad made it out to be though.

Pandorum was pretty badass I have to say.

I was sober through it all as I ran out of weed 2 days ago but eh'

It was still pretty good. I give it a 7 or 8 out of 10. But I'm biased, ANY zombie movie to me is fan-fucking-tastic haha.

Yeah, me and my dad love zombie flicks as well. This was pretty chill on the deaths though. Zombie kills are infinite, but no main characters die.

Haha, that may sound terrible, but a zombie movie needs a "cool" character getting killed. Well...now that I think about it, the cameo kinda counts.

Zombieland was pretty good. I'd give it a 7.5 leaning to 8.

    More funny than anything!

My favorite zombie movie by far though is Dead Alive (aka Braindead). I mean who doesn't love a horror-comedy that has everything from zombie grandmothers to zombies trying to do the nasty and people getting impaled on cemetery stones. Oh and how could I forget the infamous lawnmower scene where the main character thrashes EVERYTHING!

LOL sorry kind off topic! Yea, I'd recommend Zombieland if you like those type movies.

Shaun of the Dead has to be my fave for funny zombie pics.

But for serious ones I would say Dawn of the Dead is my fave. By far.

Which Dawn of the Dead? The 1978 version, or the remake? The remake was OK only because that was when they started putting all these similar type zombies movies out. Now the original. That one was definitely top 5.

I loved the remake actually, I thought it was more gory and gruesome.

However, original is a classic. For my birthday my ex got me an original Dawn of the Dead movie poster and then framed with it is a check with Romero's signature on it along with some other movie execs sigs as well. Apparently they had damaged the white van they used in the movie (When the bad guys break in) and they had to pay for it.

That is cool as hell! Sucks for the people who damaged the van, but I'll be damned if the right person got the poster!
