South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
Don't worry about being rough when repotting, I did mine and really had to push down on the roots on the side of the pot and it showed no visible harm , I really regret not putting her in the ground though ,I thought if it gets too cold I'll be able to move her in or if its shaded I can move my plant around into the sun but as soon as flowering started it was impossible to move it.
I also don't think you've got anything to worry about with cold , I'm in the UK and am going until mid november probably ,so I'd swap with you any day.
