Seedlings and phosphorus?
Hi, I have a 3 day old easy ryder seedling and I was wondering if anybody has any information regarding phosphorus utilization in seedlings... because.. I know that large amounts of phosphorus are needed during germination and early seedling stages. At least that's what I heard but when should I switch to veg nutes?
So far this is how my seedling looks like. Umm.. the stem was green but just recently today in the last few hours it has started turning brownish/purple..

Seedlings and phosphorus?
Seedlings really do not need any feeding for the first couple of weeks. After that a 1/4 to 1/2 dose of your favorite nutes will be plenty every other watering. You can gradually incress the dosage as the plant gets bigger. Just remember it's alot easier to add nutes to a plant if you see problems than to remove it if you overfeed.
