Simply put no. i am assuming you are growing them indoors so you would want to maintain a healthy temperature of between 70 and 78 (i personally set my climate controller to 76) with heat lamps you will not only be putting out way to much heat but using more power to get rid of this heat from a light source that doesnt supply the correct spectrum of light in the first place, not to mention a total of 500 watts for 30 plants is inadequate to say the least. is there any particular reason you are jumping into 30 plants? if i were you i would start out with 2 or 3. get your self a nice little 400watt mh/hps with a digital ballast and youll be all set for light until you grow out of it, then you can tackle your 30 plant dream.do some research as it is clear you have not, there is plenty of info on this website.
