Your ladies should be fine. A few days at freezing especially with their size is probably not going to do any damage to them and it does make for better smoke. I like mine to have a few days (more is better for best results) of that cold before harvest. So far only into the lower 40s but 3 weeks to go on one set and 2 months on others. Mine can still come inside if it gets to cold. If you trim/top them (so one branch becomes two) they will not get so high and they can still fit through the doorway.
martymarty Reviewed by martymarty on . Help! Got a ways to go and frost is comming I can't cover them. It would bring too much attention and they are way too big. They are 10 feet to 12 feet tall & 6 feet wide, thick woody stocks, and healthy. I have at least four more weeks to go and they are predicting 32 degree nights the next 2 nights. WHAT CAN I DO? I'm planing on insulating the pots with bubble wrap, duct tape, and towels so the roots stay warm. Will that be enough? Rating: 5
