Help! Got a ways to go and frost is comming

I can't cover them. It would bring too much attention and they are way too big. They are 10 feet to 12 feet tall & 6 feet wide, thick woody stocks, and healthy. I have at least four more weeks to go and they are predicting 32 degree nights the next 2 nights. WHAT CAN I DO? I'm planing on insulating the pots with bubble wrap, duct tape, and towels so the roots stay warm. Will that be enough?

Do you have any close-ups of these?, I'm curious as to the strain. And how large are these pots?, they have to be larger than 5 gallon capacity to support this size. They'll survive a frost or 2, in fact it actually stresses them to induce more resin. But keep the roots above 40F, use an old oil dipstick type heater if need be(the ones for autos). Can you run an extension cord?

    dipstick heaters

These do work to maintain soil temp, but placement has to be done properly.

Your ladies should be fine. A few days at freezing especially with their size is probably not going to do any damage to them and it does make for better smoke. I like mine to have a few days (more is better for best results) of that cold before harvest. So far only into the lower 40s but 3 weeks to go on one set and 2 months on others. Mine can still come inside if it gets to cold. If you trim/top them (so one branch becomes two) they will not get so high and they can still fit through the doorway.

The giant one is Hymalayan Gold and it's in a 10 gal. planter. I wrapped the planter in 2 layers of bubble wrap and then a layer of duct tape. I'm going to cover it with an old zero degree sleeping bag also. The other two are white widow and are in 5 gal buckets. I am going to take them inside tonight...carefully. Should I water the big one this evening? I usually water her every other morning and tomarrow is a water day, after all the wind from the front moving in today, she is wanting some water.

I would advise restricting water at this point, for the simple reason that marijuana plants are normally stressed due to natural conditions in the Fall. It provides them with added incentive to reproduce and does increase female/hermi etc resin production at the end of a 6-8 month cycle.

Sounds like you have adequate soil temp protection, but I would hold off with the water for at least a few days. It won't hurt.

    Good Luck!
