Well, let's see... that's a nice looking plant but it is kind of short. At 12" I'm going to guess that your light is too close, so if you can take it up to about two feet. I'm guessing it's kind of a strong light. The thing to remember about lighting is that is works as a sum of the square of the distance. That means that a light is brighter at one foot distance than two feet by the distance squared. So a two foot distance kills your illumination by a factor of 4. Three foot light distance kills illumination by factor of 9. So light at only one foot away tends to be very bright, probably much more than a plant needs if the light is very bright. Plants usually grow short when light is too close and they grow to long and stretched out when light is far away.

I don't know if giving half strength ferts every two days is a good idea. Over time that stuff will add up. Time release ferts can be a good way to go and remove alot of the guess work. Other than that, it's a nice plant.
