New to So-Cal, huntington

Hey everybody, I am new to southern california, recently moved from washington. I have been diagnosed with Crohns disease for 5 years now and have been dealing with all the fun things that come with that disease...anyone familiar can imagine. I am attempting to get myself a medicinal marijuana reccomendation from a doctor and have been attempting to do research online but I am kinda nervous about who is legitimate, what the ways are to spot people trying to scam me...pretty much I am starting with knowing nothing, and all the websites make it look soooo easy, but coming from a place where being in posession can get you taken to jail it makes me a tad nervous. I have valid documentation of my condition, all the contact info from my doctor in washington, I am in the process of getting a california ID, but I do have other proof of address (bank statements, job paystubs?)...and I just kind of need to be pointed in the right direction. I couldnt find the rules of the message board so I am trying to be very straightforward and honest but if anything in this post has broken the rules please just understand I am trying to figure this out, so if anyone has any help or can point me in the direction of a good legitimate doctor or just what to do next I would really appreciate it. -T
