    Mother Plant Question

Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to read my question. Been reading up a lot on growing techniques, nutrients etc... but there is one area that is not covered to well. I still don't know the proper way to keep a mother plant alive for clone production. Is there a nute regiment? do you just water it with distilled water? how often? i don't really know that much on mother plants. If anyone could point me in the right direction i would appreciate it.

P.S. One more question thats off topic, my friend was plaining on growing White Russian for his first grow is this a good choice? He heard it was a very easy strain to grow the same with most of the white family.

    Thank you everyone :hippy:

With a mother plant, you set the environment to the vegetative growth stage. This means just feed her veg nutrients and at least 18 hours of light/day. Water when dry like normal, and feed veg nutrients how ever often your "system" calls for.

White Russian is ak47 x white widow...
Mostly indica, should be a medium height, bushy, and potent
    Sounds like a fun start!

    Mother Plant Question

OK that makes sense, thanks Dougal25 for your help in this matter. One question though, how do you keep the mother plant from getting to big if space is limited? considering your using the same routine for a veg grow, wouldnt the mother plant sky rocket in size. Guessing routine trimming? Maybe trim the roots?

    Thank again all

you keep taking cuttings on a regular basis, regardless of whether or not you plan on using them.

also, you can replace your mother every so often with the best looking clones that you take.

you can use minimal lighting for your moms. just enough to keep them healthy, producing enough growth to get your cuttings.

    good growing!

    Mother Plant Question

Thank you sir, really appreciate the info. I am going to read up more on clones/cloning.

Thanks everyone feel free to post your info/experiences with mother plants i do check back on a regular basis. Marijuana is very fascinating to me, growing it can almost be an art form, i think its very interesting. So many strains and different genetics, crossbreeding to produce different "high's"....very cool stuff.

    Stay high all :hippy:
