Large Crop: Growing Security
Hi, I first want to start off by saying that ya'll folks at cannabis.com have been so much help to me and I wouldnt be able to do any of this with out ya'll. Now on to bussiness. Since i got started to late this year im left without the money to grow the amount that I want. Before I start asking questions I'll let you in on my situation.
I wanted to have around 40 female plants. In order to get 40 I will probaly need to grow 80 plants and hope that the gods of probability are one my side. Thats 50/50 in lamens terms. But I decided to late that I wanted to grow this year I'm left with out money to buy all the soil, nutrients, pestacides, etc.
So this year I'm going to germanate 30 seeds. hopefully 25 will sprout, and hopfully get at least 10 females(thats low-profile to me). I can scrape up enough money to support 25 plants(I hope) Then after I harvest and cure will sell and reap the profits. Next year is my biggest concerns. Im going to invest around $2000 in this project and if all my calculations are correct then the income should be $20,000-40,000 depending on quality, quantity, prices at the time, etc. I will spend around $500 getting high-quality femanized seeds and the rest of the money on soil, nutrients, tools, irragation, security, pest control, etc.
Now on to some of my biggest questions that the "Cannabis Grow Bible" could'nt answer. First off, My biggest concern is security. 30-40 plants is not that low-profile. I live in a rural area and my grow area is in a HARD to get place(swamps & brush) and secluded for ATLEAST a mile or more in every direction except for a rail road which shouldnt be a big problem but sometimes rail workers go by on little trucks to clear the railway but im not growing right beside the rails so I dont think it will come into play. But choppers and planes fly over all the time so this concerns me.
Should I seperate the plants into groups of 5 or 10 and have little garden scattered around the area? What ways can I hide them from arial veiw?
I've heard of people using fallen trees with branches to hide them from veiw. How about the infared cameras. How can I get them past the Infared cameras? I have some netting that I can use plus I can buy some but is netting obvious fromt arial veiw? How many plants per "garden" can I get away with without showing up on infered camera? What other techniques dose the goverment use to find "grow areas"? Any Information/websites on this subject would be greatly appriectated.
PS. What is a good outdoor strain. Prefably something that doesnt grow to high, But has high yeilds and high quality bud. And has a decent price for feminized seeds. But price is not the biggest concern.Junkdogg88 Reviewed by Junkdogg88 on . Also, Where do you guys get you growing supplies? Such as Fertalizers, Propagation Kits, Nifty Garden Tools, Soils, Etc.? More specificly, What websites? I know you can get all the stuff at home depot, lowes, or a mom & pop garden store, but is there a website that sells special stuff that can be used?
