Hash-Felony charge for .08 grams!?-Help!

The prosecuter knows your not a serious dealer or trafficker and in the current economy wont wanna waste tons of $$ prosecuting this case. Get a lawyer and keep resetting the case.....they will come at you with different offers. Wait till they offer a midemeanor w a short jail stint....jump on the offer. Swear this offer will come.....wait for it....it takes some time. Dont be a sucker and get caught up in the probation CYCLE. If your gonna be breaking the law (no matter how dumb the law), you have to know that there is gonna be a chance you will go to jail. If not, stay out of the criminal world, it's not for you.

Well I picked up a felony charge for hash in SD. I'm taking it to trial if the felony is not dropped but the only grounds I have to fight it on is what constitutes hash? Can I tell them I mixed ash with resin and hope they are that stupid? What are the chemical differences between pot and hash, if there are any? Any help on ways to handle this case would be greatly appreciated.

your lawyer will tell you the same. Signing up for years of probation when your young is a trick. I cant tell you how many folks I have met that signed on for 4 or 5 years probation (which they violated for something very minor) when they had a chance to sit out their sentence for 15 - 30 days and been done and free. Dont fall for that s--t.

Gross overstatement. It's not about age, it's about how likely you are to have further adventures in the criminal justice system, which is not synonymous with age.

alrighty....having been a product of the criminal justice system for around 5 years....which all started with weed charge and probation when I was 16....which I violated with a possesion of alchohol at 18 and driving w suspended DL and went to state prison. These kids more than likely will have another minor run in with law enforcement while on probation. Then its off to adult prison (college as we called it) for these children. All cause they were scared and signed up for ridiculous probation terms for years and years when they coulda sat their punk ass in county for 30 days and been done. Its a cycle....designed that way....and it's very efficent.

And hire a free world attorney...court appointed lawyers work against you 75% of the time. Good luck

The police here will confiscate anything up to a half ounce of hash 14g and send you on your way.....most of the time.... or charge you with posession.....anything over that and your pretty much done for dealing....... shit I know a guy who got busted with 8 bars of hash 2kg and he got 2 years.... was out in 18 months
