    Breaking in Honduras

Ousted president Zelaya returns to Honduras | World | Reuters

Apparently Mini-Hugo Chavez is hiding in the Brazilian Embassy. Tried to slip in a change to his countries constitution on term limits like Chavez. Honduran Supreme Court ousted him for protection. Now Obama sides with Castro and Chavez to bring this guy back to power. Amazing.

And it'll probably get done too. I'm always against US intrusion in foreign affairs. We have no business meddling in other countries domestic issues.

i can't imagine what all the confusion is about, its spelled out clear as day in their constitution :stoned:

Article 373 states, "The reform of the Constitution can be decreed by the National Congress, in ordinary session, by a vote of two thirds the totality of its members, and must specify the article or articles that are to be reformed, and must be ratified by an equal number of votes in the subsequent ordinary legislature."[12] Article 374 states, "It is not possible to reform, in any case, the preceding article, the present article, the constitutional articles referring to the form of government, to the national territory, to the presidential period, the prohibition to serve again as President of the Republic, the citizen who has performed under any title in consequence of which she/he cannot be President of the Republic in the subsequent period."[12]

i'm not against the US meddling to keep the peace, if that helps any, but we sure the hell don't need to be proping up another damn crooked commie down there  but that said, as much as i can't stand Chavez we should remember that we had the same commie system of no term limits here in US for hundreds of years. it worked on the honor system up until 20th ammendment was ratified in 1933.

yeah, but if we don't carry the big stick ("world police") who will? If we dont show the world that we have the biggest dick, all these other countries would f' with us. Not everyone is going to like it, but someone has to do it.

I think it's pretty clear that the rest of the world knows Obama is not wielding a big stick. Dude cant even reign in his own party for heavens sake. North Korea already punked Obama, Iran is supplying weapons to Taliban and opening Hezbollah offices in Caracas Venenzuela. None of these folks give a shit what Obama wants, hopefully Israel will take matters into their own hands and assasinate the midget in Tehran.
