Why do YOU smoke marijuana?

at first I smoked occasionally socially, maybe3-4 times a year. It made me feel good, and it was fun to do with freinds. After I got sick I smoked it every day, it makes me feel good still and it is still fun to do with friends.

I also find it to be lighter and a lot more easily controlled than other psychoactives out there.

Smokin is fun for a group of friends to do, it makes movies funnier (even ones that suck), makes bad food good (McD's), makes you sleep like a brick, and have profound thoughts. Tell me, Etrain, what else can make you crack up laughing at the crappiest infomercial ever made. And mushrooms dont count, those make you laugh at the wall.

I have serious problems with appetite (I have basically none) and severe insomnia , obviously im no "medical user" but I find it helps alot.

Yeah I find that too. Weed is not like alcohol, when I fall asleep stoned more often than not I wake up feeling like a million bucks. I have moderate problems with insomnia and I find weed relaxes me enough so that I can just drift off instead of tossing and turning for half the night.
