some folks just don't get it. each new group of punks comes up and claims that all who came before are meaningless in the face of their undeniable truth. there is nothing particularly brave about advocating revolution and then attacking those who see no gain in taking up arms against the ignorant masses that have brought us to this sorry pass. nor is there anything particularly cowardly in merely standing your ground against the unstoppable tide, knowing it means destruction, but holding despite the inevitable loss. you can call me a coward if you like, i've been called worse by my own mother. your invective means as little to me as the various labels and libels i have endured from a variety of fools. the government considers me a subversive, law enforcement has determined i am a criminal, liberals see me as reactionary and conservatives call me an anarchist loon. yours is just the latest in a long line of ignorant accusations and as meaningless as all the rest.

i can't help but wonder what all your ranting and raving has cost you and how much you are really willing to give up for your cause. i know what my stand has cost me and i doubt many of those vocal militants would much enjoy what i see as merely the cost of living a life that teaches by example. the insanity that is my life has cost me family and friends, it has cost me wealth and position, it will most likely end up costing me my freedom. so you can take your insults and shove them where the sun don't shine because i've paid more dues than your puerile militia buddies can even begin to understand and i'm still here, waiting for more.

i've stood beside men whose boots the like of you aren't fit to lick and they would have laughed as heartily as i at the militant rhetoric you spout as if it were something new. you just don't seem to understand that all the organizing and all the calls to arms are essentially meaningless bravado. society will continue to evolve. the people will make their mistakes and occasionally ensnare themselves in the malignant designs of the powerful, but the cause of individual liberty will never be lost as long as there is someone left to show those foolish masses that freedom is not to be feared. you cannot force people to be free, you can only point the way and hope some follow.
