    Any thoughts on "Zeitgeist?"

too funny........driving home I passed a truck with a Kerry/ Edwards '04 bumper sticker that read " Dissent is Patriotic". Thats odd.....now it's not?

    C.C,
I watched the "alex jones," movies, and radio shows.
And i think I may have 'the way," in which it will be done.
Firstly if the "swine flu," is man made, and was a first step in making a global bank, then the next step would be to release a virus that will kill people.
The country will be "quarinteened," and all hiways, and raods will be closed.
"till the virus stops it progression."
And all people must go to the "fema camps," to get inoxulated aginst the virus, and marked.(chiped.) to show they have been updated on their shots.
All comunication will be stoped, and all people at the camps will be marked/and or destoyed.
The borders will be opened,(NOU,) and the constitution wiped out.(along with its people)
I think its too early to release such a virus now, after the "new swine flu," but within a year, or so.
Im ready to head to the western mountains.
let them find me in the deeps woods.(where I'll be growin. )
    its just a theory.
    P34C3,
    Mr K@

Fun movie, got stoned and laughed my ass off. My family is always ready living on the gulf coast and all. Generator, 3 weapons with lots of ammo and a self loader, 2 weeks water, and more pop tarts than anyone can imagine. G-father bought 12 acres outside Wimberley Tx in 1976. Good luck to ya'll, WE READY HERE IN tEXAS

Alex Jones is a lunatic. The man is so convinced that there is one set pathway, and there is one group of people pushing us into that pathway. It's like the man has never even heard of a variable.

We have lost our ability to think critically.

Zetgeist and the followup are good films to watch, but know that there are informational errors galore, and know that Peter Joseph doesn't want you to think for yourself, he just wants you to think like him. I've listened to interviews with the guy, and he suffers from the same smarmy, self important attitude that most extreme leftists carry.

With that said, I think the Venus Project is a wonderful idea. We've got a long way to go, but I don't think that kind of a world is inconceivable.

... plus nobody is going to take them seriously as long as it's a Fresco project.

    Very true, and very unfortunate.
Why are there no vanilla flavored people in these segments of society. All the top people involved in conspiracy and alternate ideas about government and society are like tooty fruity and rainbow sherbert, mixed.

I love Zeitgeist. A lot of the things I already knew, and some of the things were a bit over exaggerated, but I do like it.

Agreed. Very good film with a lot of interesting points. I thought it did a particularly good job of uniting the separate issues of religion, faux capitalism and human manipulation. They're all topics that I've seen addressed in various films and books, but not put together in quite such a concise way.

It's tough with such a constrained medium to really provide much more of the backstory than was given, so I have to give them credit for putting it together as well as they did, given the limitations.

For anybody looking to get more into the stories from sources with more knowledge than Zeitgeist, I'd recommend anything by Chomsky or Zinn from the political end of the spectrum. Hutchins and Dawkins have done good work on the religious angle. Aaron Russo did a decent film about The Federal Reserve too that goes into far more detail than Zeitgeist.

Hope this helps to get folks who are interested a bit more informed.

it's great till they get to the "Venus Project",
a hiTech veneer on the old Soviet Union

    'Zeitgeist' diagnosis the problem correctly,
but fails when doling out the cure

after first watching zeitgeist i was pretty convinced, the facts seemed to be good, well presented and accurate, however i googled around for some more information (i usually like to do a little additional research before im commited to believeing something)

basically the whole movie is a load of crap, everything in it has been debunked
check this website out Zeitgeist, the movie Debunked - Introduction - Zeitgeist Exposed - Conspiracy Science - Conspiracies and Myths Refuted, Debunked, and Explained

theres also a website i found ages ago that goes line by line and points out the many errors and lies in the movie (much of the information was intentionally misleading) however i cannot find that site, but im sure if you google around you can find it
