I have been a big fan of air exchange as opposed to the "sealed room" concept.

Completely replacing the air in a grow room insures an adequate supply of CO2 for the plants. In a sealed room you have more need for CO2 supplement system to maintain minimal CO2 levels.

For complete air exchange you will need to take in air from outside the grow room and then filter for smell as you take the air out of the room and out of the trailer. Carbon filtering is the easiest and most practical and you can DIY. Search these forums for posts by Zandor regarding how much air replacement volume you will need. IIRC he mentions how many times the air must be replaced per hour. (based on room volume)

If your air intake is from under the trailer you will likely have lower intake air temps and therefore easier cooling of the room temps. Exchangeing the air fast enough will also greatly help contolling room temps when using that much HPS lighting.

In the case of your Airsteam (great trailers) you may want to have passive air intake through the floor in the veg areas (T5 lights) and the "lounge" and then intake from those areas into the grow room and finally out through "powered and filtered exhaust" fans out of the trailer. This way all smells from the entire trailer will be filtered before exit. Some also use dryer sheets as a final smell coverup at the end of the filtering chain but DO NOT depend on dryer sheets as the only smell control.

And since i have no more space. Was thinking this would be a good idea.Of course it would have to be light proof, if big enough I could seperate it into two rooms. I think I would vent it the same as the closet. were I live everyone has at least one trailer on there property. Is this as good an idea as im thinkin? Please much info. Rating: 5
