    Total yield from 1 plant....

Well you need to be really dedicated to get 4 lbs per plant and need to be rabidly dedicated to get 7 lbs or more. First you need to live in the area that is considered to have the clearest air in CA. Then you need the entire summer of clear sunny skies with temps in the triple digits most days. Make holes that are 5 feet deep and 5 feet in diameter and use at least 10 bags of Fox Farms Ocean Forest per hole plus supplements (bat guano, worm castings, calcium, sulphur, coco fibre etc, etc). Start with clones vegging in September (you would have to start now to get close next fall) making each into large clone mothers. Put the plants out the last week of May after adjusting the lights so they don't just jump to budding. Water up to an average of 30 gallons per day and fertilizing daily for vegging during the veg then fertilizing for flowering daily during the flowering stage constantly checking the soil ph and making needed adjustments.

Then yes you can average 4 lbs per plant and one rabid caretaker has gotten 10 lbs of dried trimmed buds from one plant. He believes he will top that this year so I am just waiting.

When the plants first go into the sun in may they look like most of mine do at the end of the season! I can see them when I drive by on the way to a friends place. By the end of summer they look like a forest of huge christmas trees. He has licenses for the plants he grows and they seem to leave him be. So get thee to the hills and did just one just one 5 foot by 5 foot hole and you will be stunned at how large that really is. I dug a 3 by 3 hole and that took 3 guys a whole day.

Next year I will have enough water give this a try water wise. I will still be limited to about 3 by 3 holes for now since I am 58 and it takes me a long time to just dig a hole that deep. But eventually I hope to attain the use of a backhoe and can have the 5 by 5's. It will cost more that $100 for the soil and supplements for such a hole and maybe as much as $200 per hole or possibly more.

    Total yield from 1 plant....

I will keep the forum updated as to methods and success or failure. This is actually just my second year growing and it has been another miserable year water wise. This was the third drought year in a row. I am actually taking funds from my retirement to develop the spring but then the water wars should end. Between my inexperience and sometimes good and sometimes bad advice it has been a real struggle. I believe I have enough experience now to get the water to go where it needs to go in the quantities needed. Farming is an extremely difficult thing.

But there are definitely folks getting 5 and even 10 lbs of dried buds per plant and by the way it is purple kush.

    Total yield from 1 plant....

This years tallys are in and I did very poor on a per plant average. My best three plants this year were white widow, purple derkle and bliss. The white widow was a total surprise to me. In Amsterdam the coffee houses almost all sell white widow at the lowest price range. When I have tried white widow in the past which other folks grew I was very dissapointed. It was neither very tasty or stony so I sort of wrote it off. But a friend had a nice white widow clone mother he was willing to give me so I grew it. It and the bliss are the most incredibly stony weed this year. Better than my purple kush, afghan goo, massachusettes and monster plants. I got about a pound each from the white widow, bliss, afghan goo and purple derkle. However some of the derkle (sour diesel x purple erkle) molded and the moldy part is a total loss. So really I had just 3 respectable plants. It took several afghan goo plants to get barely a pound. I am hoping to have all two pound or more plants next harvest. Considering water will not be an issue this year this should be relativley easy to do.

Anyone out there getting great results. How did folks do this year. It was a good year for weather with not too much wind and the rain arrived fairly late so I suspect lots of folks did well this year.

Farming is always hard work but it is always a bit easier when it is a labor of love.:bong:
