Eventually it will just get really dry and probably turn brown. Still possible to smoke, but pretty harsh and shit. I've smoked weed that was over a year old. I was brownish, but still smokeable.

Yeah it did, but it still worked. Somewhat.

depends how you store it, I HIGHLY reccomend using a glass jar with a good tight rubber seal, so it is completely airtight, your buds last a lot longer and retain their potency better.

Also store buds in cool, dark places, like deep down at the back of your wardrobe/cupboard/closet/whatever, keep away from hot water pipes!

Light and heat will degrade the quality over periods of time.
