need help---must remove male from garden

i have a drip system running under a 400w hps, growing 2 hindu kush plants. i started flowering and one is male. i need to remove it but the roots are extremely tangled with the female. should i just cut the plant off above the stalk, or somehow try to seperate the roots

thats all u can do man just cut from the bottom of the stem....if you start pissing about in the roots u will kill the female so just stay away from roots.......there is some products that will break down old roots and turn them into food for the female...bio nova do it its called BN-ZYM HERE IS THE LINK
