OG Kush: My first NFT grow

I just started my 18 clones of OG Kush in an NFT system...they are starting to get used to it and should hopefully start taking off any day. Once I get my camera back I will start to post pics and I will keep you updated as things progress.

    Wish me luck!!!

OG Kush: My first NFT grow

Ok so I had every problem in the book with suppliers and whatnot from the first time I started this grow. The clones came in soil, my light was f---ed up, I was having problems with my homemade nft because I neglected to put drippers on each pot, and I went broke in the process. Not a great start hahahaa

Well I finally got 2 of the original 20 that came in soil doing okay. The roots never seemed to want to dip down in the nft and the plants died one by one until poof only 2 left. I have been keeping the water high in that tube and one of them started to plunge the roots (that is why the plants are in the different nft tubes as you can see in the pic--different water levels).

I bought a few more OG kush clones locally in Oakland this time and they are doing great--in the pic those are the two in the same tube that are different sizes.

This is just an update of my grow but I am hoping that if I need any help I can get your guys expert opinions.

What do you think is the problem with the roots of the ones that came in soil? When they die I look at the roots and they don't seem to grow, just kind of bunch up and turn brown. Any ideas?
