This is what I've been doing. I have a little plastic tray that cost about $3 and fits about 21 little peat pots in it. Go to Home Depot and get one of those huge Rubbermaid tubs and put that over the tray of clones. They're selling them for about $4. I've been putting mine right into the dirt with the rooting hormone and just soaking the soil really well, keeping the air inside around 90% humidity. I crack it open everyday just to check everything and make sure it's nice and moist and get a little circulation. With stems on the cuttings as thick as a coffee stir, they have been doing just fine. I've only run into trouble when I use too green of cuttings with weak stems, and they just double over and mold.

I'm wondering what I should put them in until then, I was planning on only using hydroton since I'm a beginner with hydro and figured to pass on the rockwool for simplicity mostly. But now my clones really need to be transferred, they are in rapid rooters and I gotta get them out of the tray before they get too wrapped up. I know I cannot Rating: 5
