Help with my 11 clones please

Hey hope I can get a bit of advice- I have 11 clones that are going into an ebb and flow, but I'm not gonna have the table for around a week I'm guessing. I'm wondering what I should put them in until then, I was planning on only using hydroton since I'm a beginner with hydro and figured to pass on the rockwool for simplicity mostly. But now my clones really need to be transferred, they are in rapid rooters and I gotta get them out of the tray before they get too wrapped up. I know I cannot hand water these clones in hydroton because I'm not around enough to do it constantly. Is rockwool my only choice that I won't have to water 2-3+ times a day? Hey man, do I sound stoned?

I had planned on filling 1 gallon round black pots with hydroton. 11 in a 3x3 under a 600. I don't want to use rockwool, lack of funding and I just can't see how so many people are successful with it, doesn't seem like it drains fast enough, and it's alot more to dispose of, the last ones the biggest one for me.
Oh and the biggest biggest is not being able to move the plants, I have no light mover and don't they have to be rotated or they'll grow funny?

well you dont have many options,if you can afford a tray you can afford a brick of r/w its like 15 bucks for the 4x4 cubes and you get 20 of them from grodan.if you stick them into the rw you will be able to hand water until your tray comes.rw is for every one beginners or not,its really hard to screw up once your cuttings are all ready rooted. on the other hand, ijust hand water one a day and they will trive, if i was you and didnt want to use rw,i would get a shallow rubbermaid container maybe 4 inches deep by 4 ft long you can find them at wall mart.get 2 or 3 air stones one or 2 air pumps and fill the bottom of the container with hydrotont then add water and 1/4 strength nutes to your container, fill the container about a 1/2 inch above the hydroton with water and cover the root system with something, maybe take 4 ft of panda film cut out the spots for your plants and set them in the system.they will be just fine.dont leave them in there any longer than you have to though or they will root together"all bad"

This is what I've been doing. I have a little plastic tray that cost about $3 and fits about 21 little peat pots in it. Go to Home Depot and get one of those huge Rubbermaid tubs and put that over the tray of clones. They're selling them for about $4. I've been putting mine right into the dirt with the rooting hormone and just soaking the soil really well, keeping the air inside around 90% humidity. I crack it open everyday just to check everything and make sure it's nice and moist and get a little circulation. With stems on the cuttings as thick as a coffee stir, they have been doing just fine. I've only run into trouble when I use too green of cuttings with weak stems, and they just double over and mold.
