QF 5.7?! I just used 4.2, am I still ok?
This is ridiculous. The very mere exposure to sunlight causes this to instantly go bad? I had no way of knowing this was such a major problem. There should have been a clear warning label on the box that shouldv'e said along the lines of "DO NOT OPEN CONTENTS OUTSIDE OR UNDER DIRECT LIGHT". Spectrum Labs could have at least put a tint on the bottle to block out any harmful sunlight that would cause this to go bad. I did some research on QF before I used it, I didn't see much on this sunlight issue, only that it shouldn't be kept under light (Which really implies to not store it in sunlight for a period of time, which is something you shouldn't do with allot of things anyway). I mean, I would really like to know just how much sunlight is enough to cause the components to break down and if they breakdown instantly or over a period of time (Like if exposed to brief sunlight, do the components break down within a few minutes, or say a few months).
I'm sure no one really knows the answers to that, and that I might be over reacting, but if I failed this test just because it touched some sunlight for brief moment of less than a minute, then I can hardly recommend this product to anyone, not when it has such a terrible flaw that has no obvious warning to. I mean, what if the lab people keep my QF urine next to a window or something (Which I actually remember there being a window next to the samples when I went)? Then it doesn't matter how well you kept it in the dark, and I guess labs could even use that to detect synthetic urine (Not sure if sunlight has the same effect on real urine).
Well, I won't hear back from them till after labor day, so we'll see. Wish me luck!
