I love MJ, but I only have one friend that smokes. My wife hates when I smoke, so I have to keep it completely separate from her so she doesn't have to know (I would never lie to her). My friend works as much as I do, so on the rare occassion our days off sync up, he may or may not want to smoke.

None of my other friends smoke (i don't think). I just wish I had a few others to partake with. I'm a social guy

I was in your boat a few years back when I first started. I'm only 20 (I say that because it's usually easier for young kids to find more people because it seems every other teen-young adult down here smokes heavily) and about 3 years ago I went to VooDoo Music fest down in New Orleans with an old friend and his newer group that I wasn't that familiar with. I just casually brought it up in a conversation with the new people I didn't even know and out of all of them it was my oldest friend who was happiest I had some. There were no signs, he never mentioned it and I would have never known if I didn't speak up (because I wanted to and didn't want to wait around all day not smoking the joints in my pocket, but I didn't want it to be awkward). Anyway, I guess somewhere in this message my point is you never know. Just be open and polite about it, don't come off as a stereotypical stoner, that always attracted the wrong crowd for me. I like the more mature smokers who have fun will doing it but shut up about it after and in public. What also worked for me was bringing up pot in a normal conversation but have it be related to recent news. For instance : Medical Marijuana Becoming Legal. You can instantly pick out the uninterested and the ones who enjoy it. Trust me and give it a shot, but at the end of the day even if you're alone, at least you're stoned right?

i have many friends who smoke but i prefer smokin on my own. it's a shame your wife doesn't approve, haveing a toke after a hard days work sitting in the comfort of your own home is so chilling. i'm sure as time goes by you will meat many fellow tokers, best of luck on your quest to finding new smoke buddies

Hah you really do need to stop by my home on a Wednesday night. Lets just say I help people find the things they want. I have quite a few older married guys I help out and unfortunately almost all of them were in the same boat as you. One Wednesday night they all needed some help so I set some things out in my garage and introduced them all to each other. They started their own little mature smokers club in there, they all talk about old fart stuff im bored by so I just let them use my garage and leave them to it. They're regular as a clock and I certainly don't mind, they smoke tons when they get together.

I need people to smoke with as smoking alone gets boring after a while.

yeah i only have one friend i smoke with right now. ironically, the guy who got me into smoking recently quit. go figure. if i could only get my wife to smoke with me, id be a much happier man.
