I live in Pittsburgh, and I am leaving for the G20. Paranoid?

What do you guys think? Am I being paranoid? It's going to be a madhouse here those days, we would have to shack up and not drive anywhere. I would rather just get out of town for those 4 days. To be honest, I have no idea what state our country is in. The G20 would be a pretty big target for some terrorist threat. I think I'm being logical, is it paranoid?

    What would you do?

We were all born to die. You can't change fate. You can follow your gut but that is your choice not ours.

Oh hun you live in Pittsburgh!?

I live rightoutside of Pittsburgh. I have a few buddies who are going to protest down there when the g20 happens. I don't really think anything THAT crazy will happen. Maybe some riots and some fights but eh'.

But I have the shotgun ready just in case haha

I live in Penn Hills, which is considered Pittsburgh.

And I'll be very happy if I am wrong. But I got a wife to protect, and I just have a bad feeling about it. Better safe than sorry!

I've been using Google a bit too much, because I've been finding a lot of online forums discussing the G-20 in Pgh, and so many people are expecting rioting because people are pissed that the city won't give protest permits to 90% of the people that apply. I don't wanna be around if the shit hits the fan, even though I'm 15 miles away. I also looked up the destruction potential of a nuclear bomb....and you have to be at least 250 miles away to get a non-lethal dosage of radiation (sounding paranoid yet?)

We're gonna meet up with my folks out in Massachusettes to see some of the colors change, and just hang out for the weekend. It'll be nice to get away regardless. Good luck RG, protect my house for me, ok?

What exactly does a bunch of dreadlocked, rich, white kids hope to accomplish by breaking the windows at the local starbucks? Yea......that will show em.
There is an extremely fine line between genius and psycho.

32 years and I\'ve never met a good cop.

    So far so good hun.

Nothing too crazy has happened so far. Just some schmucks swinging off of bridges with signs and the occasional tear gassing for people hurling dumpsters at police.

    Could be worse.

Well, some asshole decided to slash all 4 of my tires on Wednesday night, and vandalized a local store.

The people downtown are smart to wear those masks. If I see anyone I know I'm gonna beat their ass. Fucking bullshit. I've got my rifle loaded and ready for some fuckhead to try some more bullshit.

I want to know how slashing someones tires is going to fix the world economy. Freaking asshats...

On channel 11 they said that not damage has been done, I think like 10 or 12 windows were smashed but considering what everyone thought I suppose that is small.

    I'm sorry hun.

Well, I'm not sure if it was protestors or some sociopath having fun, capitalizing on the absence of police. A neighbor's yard was also vandalized, and another house robbed. Just found that out from a neighbor.

I usually don't trust the news. I guarantee there will be some interesting videos after the Summit ends, but for now, the media is trying to give the appearance of control to deter protestors from getting out of hand. That's my theory, anyways.
