    cloning issues

    Its been awhile since i grew but anyways, lets get to the point. i have never clone before and i took some cutting from my guys mother plant.Im trying the water method from the cannabis faqs and was wondering if it works,thanks

    cloning issues

    i always have 95% success rate by using 1" ph adjusted rockwool cubes under a single 2' T5 under a dome with the vents closed and a heat mat underneath. lather on lots of clone goo when you take them and you should be solid. not sure which water method youre referring to, but you should consider trying out this method as it's tried and true.

    so you think i should take the clones out the cup of water and then dip them in root hormones and put them in rockwool cubes asap, thanks for the quick responds

    i would. seems to me that the "water method" exposes fresh wounds to bacteria and other bad stuff unnecessarily. i think they like getting into their new homes asap. long as you have lots of moisture in the clone box (beading water on the walls) and the temp is right, i think you could safely transfer them now.

    thanks,should i soak the rockwool first before placing them

    absolutely. try to get them to 6.0...usually takes about 24 hrs to stabilize there.

    my tap is about 7 in ph would the rock wool bring it down the ph little,automatically

    depends on many factors. best bet is to get a meter and a syringe and get to testing.
