Starting an Aeroponic Rubbermaid 18 gal System

Hello to the great folks here at Cannabis.Com.

I'm Starting about 5 sprouts from seed and plan on using neoprene collars to hold the plant. No net pots or any other mediums for now just the neoprene collars, like in an ez-cloner.

I plan on using a recycle timer for the pump. And start with a 1 min on 5 min off cycle to repeat while the light is on. Also to note Im running with a 16hrs on 8hrs off cycle on a 125 watt cfl 2700k grow light (and i mean it uses 125 watts not replacing a 125watt incandesant). but the 16/8 is for massive root growth. (which I read in a thread here on canna.com)
Nutrients will be 1/4 strength for the first week. and up after that to 1/2 the next week and full strength after that.

Does anyone forsee a problem? if so please chime in.:rasta:

Neoprene collars will not support the plant. They will fall through the holes. Invest in some netpots they are cheap and get a bag of hydrtron too.

Lights should be 18/6 or 24/7 for veg time.

Well As of right now they are seedling sprouts and from seeing that I have only 1 left and prob not for long. (seems the neoprene collars are strangling the weak stem of the sprouts). I stuch a toothpick right next to the sprouts stem and hopefully it will allow the nutrients thru. I'm not over concerned as I am still learning and this is some bag seed. Once I get my buggs worked out and some experience. I shall get some good genetics and then will be concerned for a loss.

as for the lights I read in a few threads some conflicting statements.
1 thread claimed it did a root study and that a 16/8 showed the max root growth.
2 another thread claimed that cannabis is a G3 plant and does not require a dark period. I believe it refrenced an article in Cannabis coulture
    http://http://boards.cannabis.com/ne...eply&p=2019779
3 and many others claim that a dark period is necessary and 18/6 is best

So with so many conflicting accounts ya wonder what is the best

plus I have a problem with my sprayers. They worked great right off the batt. but after a few cycles they drool like a Male virgin at a hooters convention.
I am using only 5 micro sprayers they are red top, blue base, 360 sprayers.
I started playing around with some options to the plumbing and branched off the main line and put a valve in to vary the pressure in the line and circulate the nutrient solution. the strange thing is when the valve is closed the sprayers drool. half way open a somewhat spray, and fully open no spray.
seems that the pump can't handle any pressure consistently. Its a 350gph pump. and with no restriction it pumps great. but restrict the flow and its retarded no pressure.

anyone know of a good pump that can handle some back pressure?

cause if i cant get the sprayers to spray correctly net baskets and hydroton wont do a darn thing unless i fix the spray. otherwise i might need to go with a top feed method like a drip setup.

Chime in folks I could use the help:Tomcat:
