Help with putting seeds in rockwool

Tried five with the paper towel method and a little hydrogyn peroxide on top and all germed. Sweet. Well I put the rockwool in water and let them soak for a few hours. Then I tested the ph, it was 7.9 so I lowered it to 6.2 and let soak. I added 3 drops of super thrive and let sit. I took the rockwool out of the soaking cup and let them drain off a little. I placed the rockwool in a tubberware on a few paper napkins and started grabbing each seed with tweezers. This is the hard part. Some of the roots had curled and its a pain to get the root to go down and the top to go up. I think I did ok but one or two the root might not be exactly down. Is this ok? When I do something, I put my all into it and not make any mistakes, as Im sure you have read. :rastasmoke: I kinda tried to cover the seeds with the rockwool by pushing it on top of them. Finally I put the lid on the tubberware and put it in my warm dark closet

    Any thoughts?

Help with putting seeds in rockwool

yes....the rockwohl being put over the top of the seeds is a bad idea. I found this out the hard way. It makes your seeds grow very slowly when this is a period of quick growth. It set me back by 15 days. Leave some air for the top of the plants to come out the top of the rockwohl...

Thats my 2 cents...good luck!

Shit! Ok thanks man. I'll open the tops back up. Everything else seem ok? Leave them in a tubberware in the dark? Wait a few days till they sprout then put the rockwool cubes in the hydroton in my net pots and turn on my drippers and grow lights?

They'll prolly survive, but the root is supposed to curve.
It's how they shed the husk.

Normally, they fall to a crack in the ground and land, (with luck and aerodynamics), pointy end up.
When the seed pops, the tap root first pokes straight up and makes an immediate u-turn.
This gives it strength to push down into the earth.
Once the tap root is well set, it pushes the husk up through the soil and this spreads the husk open, usually leaving it below the soil surface.

Well, my fingers are stating to hurt, so...

    Weezard Your the Man.

I never knew that. Which could be why I never see my seeds sprout.
I kept putting them in point side down.
