all you need to do is be CERTAIN its at body temp. i had a buddy once who forgot to warm it up and he submitted a 70 degree sample and me and him were chased off the labs property lolol
The collector certainly did not follow proper protocol on this one. If a donor were to submit a sample that was outside the temp range of 90-100F, the collector is supposed to have the donor submit a second sample under direct observation (observer must be same gender as the donor - no exceptions). The collector would then process both samples and indicate on the CCF form that a direct observed collection took place and the reason why.
