Mother Plants!
I couldn't find a thread devoted to mother plants so decided to start one. I'm a noob to it and would like some information on how to house and care for a mother plant.
My basic questions are:
What size container is required? Obviously bigger is better but I'm wondering how small of a container I can get away with. My space is limited in height so a 5gal pail is too tall. I was thinking maybe a deck planter as they are short but still have good volume. I will probably end up LSTing her too.
How much vegetative nutes are required? Full strength? Half strength? She doesn't need to go crazy, I just want to her to have healthy branches for cutting.
That's all for now. Can't wait to hear from ya's.Joefarmer Reviewed by Joefarmer on . Mother Plants! I couldn't find a thread devoted to mother plants so decided to start one. Well, I have mine in 4" net pots in an ebb and flow system. I run GH three part and keep nutes at around 600 ppm

in general, watch what she wants.your main thing to make sure doesnt happen is that she gets pot bound, pull her out every now and again and yank her from her pot just to double check, other than that she gets the same treatment as any other vegative plant.ive seen mother plants housed in 6 inch pots all the way up to containers as big as 40 gallon trash cans.
