growing in an apartment is *NOT* a good idea, unless you want to get busted. the smell goes throught the walls, and maintenance/managers have a key. and can gain access at any time.... all it takes is for a drain to stop up on the floor above you, or even routine maintenance on the A/C. They are normally supposed to give you 24 hours notice, but that doesn't alway happen.

You can do what you want, but remember that growing any place other than *YOUR* own home not only puts your crop at risk, but that property is also at risk of being seized.

dont let anyone tell you this is a bad idea, because it all depend on what type and location of your apartments at. mine is a one story out in the country and the only time i see my land lord is when they cut the grass
but if you grow in an apartment you have to be smart about it like odor control and a discreate area to grow in mainly a bedroom closet would be best
if your weery on growing in an apartment dont because nothing is worth going to jail over just make sure if you do keep it to yourself cause leaky information will get you caught so plan wisely and be smart about it

It really does depends on your own personal situation.
I have lived at my apartment for over a year, maintenance has stopped by once. I used to have a dog so I had a webcam setup to see what it was up to, all maintenance did when they came by was change the air filter (I did receive 24 hour notice).
I'm pretty sure all apartments will call the police if they think you are growing. You have to factor in whether or not you have a license or if it's worth the trip to jail, possible loss of job, loss of apartment, etc..

Also, the smell is not bad if I close the closet, problem is, I never remember to.

just had a for extinguisher and smoke alarm inspection today - don't know if anyone came in, but my pants are still there and cops have showed up yet.
