    any good?

hi i put this int he lighting forum too but this one seems busier!
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hi, im new here! ive got a few small plants on the go at the min, growing in soil on my window sill. they aren't getting massive and i think its down to the lack of quality light available.
i was thinking about getting some sort of cfl set up, but i found this at work http://www.britebox-light-therapy.co...s-britebox.php
anyone know if it will be of any use? it says it has 10,000 lux and a 6400k colour.
will this be ok to use or pointless as it could save me having to spend out money i havent really got at the minute!
    cheers

you don't get to post where you want because that particular sub-forum has more traffic! people will see your posts and respond as they see fit.....it especially helps if you post your question in the correct spot, hence the layout to begin with.

also, if someone doesn't answer your post within a time frame that's suitable to you then try doing some research on your own and asking more precise, accurate, to the point questions.

    good growing!

hi, thanks for taking the time to reply! i understand that the sub forums are there for a reason, and i did post in there first because of that, but when i looked through this one, there seemed to be quite a few posts on lighting, and also a lot more up to date posts, hence why i thought it might get my question seen by more people.
im in no real rush for answers, just thought id open it up to a wider opinion base.
also, i did spend quite a bit of time going through this fine forum trying to find appropriate information on the use of SAD light boxes in the growing of cannabis, but couldnt come up with anything at all, maybe i was searching for the wrong thing?
i also thought my question was pretty precise and to the point, as in are these lights any good to use or not.
    all the best

The brite-box is designed to relieve the symptoms of seasonal affective disorder... not so good for growing plants but a boon to many who suffer from depression in the shorter, darker days of winter.

    Try looking for envirolites.
