Derren Brown, a mentalist... magician and hypnotist uses the technique to increase feelings of motivation amongst others. He uses it in his one time show The Heist which was aired in 2006. He gets them to ramp up their motivation and aggression by spinning their feelings stronger and faster and linking it to some cues such as the colour green and a certain piece of music.

The guy is a genius and that video shows how easily everyday people can be manipulated to commit atrocities.
