I don't believe there is such an endorsement. The law allows for what is medically necessary, and a jury upheld this in the Jason Lauve case in Boulder County. The jury stated he could have had a ton and they would have acquitted. I think I remember he had 30 plants and 2 lbs, which was returned to him when he was acquitted.

It's not as comfortable having this available as an affirmative defense as it would be being stipulated... but the courts have already ruled in favor of allowing patients what they decide they need to supply their medication.
