Clones rooted... But not growing?
I took 8 clones from a plant that was in flower, probably a mistake right there but all 8 of them rooted in jiffy pellets in a humidity dome (dairy queen cake container :jointsmile
under 2 64w CFL's. After the roots were poking through the netting around the jiffy pellet I put them in see through dixie cups, which I think is another mistake but I wanted to monitor root progress. Anyways once they were rooted in dixie cups I put them in my small grow box under 10 100w CFL's and after a week of no progress in their growth but still nice and green I took out 6 of the CFL's because I thought too much light this early may have been stunting the growth. However, now after another week I now have all 8 "clones" under only 2 CFL's and they haven't grown a bit, still just single leaves with roots. The roots of each clone look healthy, I water each day and also mist each clone because they are starting to look like they are drying out but are still green.
Any ideas of whats going on?Man1fesT Reviewed by Man1fesT on . Clones rooted... But not growing? Im pretty sure you are right shake (a touch of sarcasm intended). It must be a limb of the plant, multiple leaf sites attached to one main "stem". Preferably with one or 2 nodes exposed below the surface.
Do you have any pics of the rooted fan leaf by chance? I have never tried to do it, but the physiology of the plant seems like it wouldn't let a petiole develop roots.
