you need to do alot of reading, if you dont care about random seed just leaveem together. some are like the mother some are like the father. unless you selectively breed youll probly end up with blah. i have a superior cut of something that is usually prety common but through breeding she is now a holy grail of a plant

Neither one will overpower the other. An F1 hybrid batch of seeds will express traits of mother or father or both mixed. There is no way to predict until you grow out the F1 generation. It would take many more subsequent inbreeding cycles after the F1 to predict traits of seed stock. You may end up with some recessive traits that weren't even present in the phenotype that you originally grew. Just depends on how the genetic combo in the seeds plays out.

What do you mean how long you should keep the branch alive? Do you mean the male donor branch, or the female branch that will have seeds?

irydyum, the female branch once seeded..how long does it take for the seeds to fully mature before i cut the branch off...the plant is in the middle of flowering...im figuring 1st week of october maybe less...

ok so when i grow these seeds will they have traits from both strains..

basically this is what i want to happen...."i want the potency of the blue cheese. and the fast flowering and size of the mango"

The seeded branch needs to stay untill the end of flowering.

As said what you will get from your seeds are. Plants that have either mother traits or father traits or a mix of the 2 or something you have not seen.

If you are looking for the mix, then selective breeding comes up next. You must take only the ones selected and cross those several times to get a stable strain. To stablize a strain is not that easy. You must know what characters your looking for at an early age.

If you just keep seeding the F1 back into itself randomly you will have your own strain but who know what traits it will have. Hopefully the mix you want.
