Yet another scenario for the pros to dissect

So here's the quick setup:

I've been clean for a month and some days (since July 22nd). I took a home test on the 22nd of August to see where I was at, and I passed it with a pretty solid line (even though that doesn't matter, apparently). So today, I took my drug test for school at Quest, and even though I passed the practice test, I still foolishly decided to do the dilution thing, out of pure paranoia. Instead of drinking the mass amount of waters N2 suggests, though, I just drank about 28-30oz of water through the morning, and took about 2.5-3 centrum (crushed them in my mouth...disgusting). Well, the centrum definitely fixed the color, because after 3 short wizzes throughout the morning that were pretty clear to lightly yellow, I took my drug test at 1 p.m. (my fourth wizz of the day) and it was the perfect yellow color. Upon inspection, the lady wrote on the Quest form "Specimen ok" and signed her name, which I'm guessing means "ok upon visual inspection, no need for the gc/ms test".

Here's the problem though: I didn't take creatinine. I also ate very, very lightly the past day before the test though, so I'm assuming that gave my body time to build and release it. I'm pretty sure I won't fail it based on THC, but I do dread that they call me back in because my specimen was too diluted. From what I'm reading though, my 30oz shouldn't even compare to the amounts of water N2 suggests, and maybe my creatinine levels are ok. Unfortunately, this is for school, so it's not exactly like they're going to call and say "hey, you passed your drug test, welcome in! Way to go!" Chances are, I'm going to have to wait it out and just assume nothing went wrong when they don't call me and say hey you're kicked out.

My vaporizer has been unused for a month and a week now, and it's staring me in the face saying "let's recapture what we used to have, lover". Someone help! I don't want to wait this out for another 3 weeks until I don't hear from anyone and then I know it's safe to smoke again. I mean, it would be great if they called again tomorrow and said "too diluted, take another" and I could just go in and drink less water this time, but I doubt that'll happen, nor do i think anyone is going to tell me if I passed. Based on what you've read (oh yeah, I'm also 160, 5"8, decent metabolism, run sometimes, blah blah), what do you think? Did I probably not dilute it too much? 30oz? Thats like barely more than a bottle of water. If you could fail for dilution from 30 oz of water I don't think dilution would be a reasonable way to pass a test. So yea, you're fine.

The lab wont send the sample to the GC/MS based on visual inspection. They'll still run an initial assay screen on the sample first. If the sample fails for any drug on the screen, then they'll run the sample thru the GC/MS on the drugs that tested positive.

Yeah you should be fine with 30 ounces. If you can't pee when you get to the lab they make you sit there and drink up to 40 ounces in a 3 hour period

well the impression I got from the collector was that it was ok, seeing that under remarks she wrote "specimen ok". Are you saying that in the 6405N SAP 5-50 gc/ms test they don't even check creatinine levels unless it makes it to the gc/ms portion (which would mean I failed the initial THC test right? which I'm pretty confident I won't)? My vape is starting to remove her vaporizer gown and beckon me with one sultry finger motion...

See my main fear was, even though it was a small amoutn of liquid, I still ended up having like 3 or 4 little pee's before the actual test itself, that were pretty clear (lightly tinged yellow, i guess), so I was thinking that all the creatinine had cleared out with those urinations.....wrong?

The GC/MS is used only to confirm the presence of drugs and two types of adulterants: glutaraldehyde and pyridine. Creatinine is checked with a seperate colorimetric dipstick before the drug assay is performed. In some cases, labs would use a drug assay with integrated panels for creatinine, SG, pH, etc.

Color is not an accurate means to determine creatinine and SG levels. Even samples with a nice yellow color to them can still fall below the acceptable limits for creatinine and SG, and thus being ruled "too-dilute".

So whaddya think then, pissing 4 short times in the 4 hour period before the test, while drinking 30oz in that period is probably not enough to dip below the threshold on the creatine test? That's my only concern right now, that it'll be too diluted because of the pissing before the test voiding me of the creatine.

Hey does anyone know if going directly to the Quest where I got the test and asking for my results directly will:

A)Prompt them to retest my thing because it's obvious I have some concern if I'm coming in for the test results rather than just letting it be, or will they even

B)report to my school that I came in seeming concerned about it?

I know they're just a testing center, and it's their job to just test it and send results. I'm assuming they don't really care beyond that, so they wouldn't really "investigate" if I came in just asking for my results, even though it's obvious then that I had a concern, which leads to the thought "well why would he be concerned?". I took my test Wednesday afternoon, so I'm guessing the results are in by now. Any and all "Quest experts" out there please let me know. I could have a very fun weekend if I find out my status tomorrow, so I'm just trying to find out how it went as soon as possible.

I respectfully recommend that you do NOT ask for your results. A) You signed a document that allows them to release the results to your prospective employer only, most likely.

B) Always act like "of course I passed. How could I not?"
