I will never support any political effort that attempts to legalize cannabis use to a select few based on them meeting "special" criteria medical or otherwise. No one is any more "entitled" to use cannabis due to a medical condition, cannabis should be available to everyone regardless of why they choose to use it, if it were, then those that sought it's use for a medical condition would be freely allowed to use it and the cost to acquire said, "medicine" would be significantly less than it is now. Simply advocating for "medical use" to the exclusion of all others, is bigoted and wrong. While I admire your efforts, your energy is misplaced, and if you are honest w/ yourself, surely you can see the obvious flaw in supporting a political position that claims that it's only ok to use cannabis so long you got 150$$ and can ask any number of the ass hat doctors that write recs to do so, but for anyone else, it's wrong and illegal? Explain to me what entitles you or any other MMJ user to use cannabis legally, while turning a blind eye and not advocating it's legal use for every person no matter the reason?
Medical conditions do not give people "special rights", everyone should have the same opportunity to use cannabis, a piece of paper w/ the CA state seal and Dr. signature does not change the fact that it is already a harmless substance that can have a positive impact on anyone that chooses to use it, even if they happen to not have that "special paper tiger".

My policy as a comprehensive drug law reformer for over the last forty years has been to take anything we can get but always be there with the arguments for full drug law reform.
Until up to about the last ten years, in all honesty it's been one baby step forward- two backwards, as it related to cannabis legalization/decriminalization. I attribute most of that to what I refer to as the "prohib-lites" always arguing for only their personal drug of choice.
The "war on drugs" is a war on all of us; users and non-users alike and regardless of your drug of choice. We need to stand up together and fight it as such.
The "war on drugs" is a crime against humanity.
