Roots appearing through soil???
Hey,
This is my 2nd grow under CFL. My plant (cheese, fem) has just started flowering and i have noticed that roots are appearing through the soil. As this is my 2nd grow, I've never seen this before and got me a bit worried. Could it be that the plant pot is to small?? Any thoughts would be helpful cos i have no idea!!wendall85 Reviewed by wendall85 on . Roots appearing through soil??? Hey, This is my 2nd grow under CFL. Roots appearing through soil???
I'm growing outdoors when I noticed roots coming through the top of the soil , I took someone's advice to repot , I'm glad I did because when I lifted the plant I could'nt see any soil it was just roots , so it might be worth repotting just in case.
It shouldn't be that difficult my plant is 4 ft and I was stressed as hell pulling it out of the pot.
Good Luck.

Roots appearing through soil???
looking good
There's alot more ppl with more knowledge than me on here but from I know there's usually two reasons for that..
1st, she needs repotting. If she's root bound they've got nowhere to go but up
or..
she may be getting a bit over watered.. the roots drowning further down in the soil and they're trying to breathe. but she looks pretty mint so my guess is a repot.
Hope this helps.. cheersLike everything i have ever said here, just ignore me, it\'s all BS, none of this ever happened nor ever will.. i just have a very vivid imagination

Roots appearing through soil???
Thanks for the advice....placed the plant in a larger pot, definitely needed it. I used compost (which was wet) to fill the rest of the larger pot....should i hold off feeding the plant nutrients until the compost has dried off?
Thanks again
