False, autoflowering strains do not need a rest period because they are automatically triggered by their genetically programmed hormone production to begin flowering despite what light cycle you have them on. Not to mention that Cannabis is a C3 plant that doesn't do much in the dark. Check out this link if you think I am incorrect: Need the dark | Cannabis Culture Magazine

With autoflowering strains, it is nice to be able to have lights on 24 hours because the more light, the more photosynthesis, the more bud you're going to get off of those small plants.

For real though, if you REALLY want to do hydro, use hempy buckets because they are the SIMPLEST thing to use...ever...period...look what they can do with hardly any difficulty at all: http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-log/...ah-purple.html

Do listen to MP though, when he says do some reading, he's absolutely right. Do all the research possible you can on a question you think could be answered by a simple google search or a search on these forums.

The search button is your friend,

SauceeMcGee Reviewed by SauceeMcGee on . Which hydro system should I use? I've been reading and reading, built a grow box from rubbermaids and its a little hot around 85 degrees even with 3 fans. I was going to DWC as it the easiest hydro but read its not good for high temps. So I was thinking drip or ebb and flow. Which is best for higher temps? I can make any of the 3 pretty easy. Also saw aeroponics but not sure how to make that but sure I can. Which should I choose? Thanks guys. I really like this forum so far. Rating: 5
