So here is my 2 cents. For whatever its worth:

Even with an autoflower genetic... You will never need to go 24 hour light cycles with hydroponics. Your plants also need rest in order to grow properly. You will need to run an 18/6 for veg and then 12/12 for flower. You need to read up more on this. Your res temperature is fine as long as you can do either a dutch drip ring, or ebb and flow. Start with drip...easy to do and you manage your plants feeding more effectively.

On to my second tidbit (or cent). You need to seriously consider starting with a couple plants first from seedling. You will be an expert by the time you are done flowering. Keep a log here and post questions. We will help you out.

So go and get a tray...go to home depot and get the things you need for your drip system...and start growing. Start with 5 seeds and go from there. I swear it will be worth the effort...plus it will teach you about things you never thought to ask. When it becomes scary is when you know how many nutes to add just by eyeballing.

Oh yeah, get a ppm/ph meter...you will need it!
martyrprojekt Reviewed by martyrprojekt on . Which hydro system should I use? I've been reading and reading, built a grow box from rubbermaids and its a little hot around 85 degrees even with 3 fans. I was going to DWC as it the easiest hydro but read its not good for high temps. So I was thinking drip or ebb and flow. Which is best for higher temps? I can make any of the 3 pretty easy. Also saw aeroponics but not sure how to make that but sure I can. Which should I choose? Thanks guys. I really like this forum so far. Rating: 5
