bone and blood meal are slow release..
bone is more Phospohorus
and blood is more Nitrogen.
i had coons dig up sum of my plants like that tho... they can climb chicken wire or watever u use almost.

i know it would taste better usin only organics.

i pruned about a week after signs of sex this year.. looks like it will be a tad bit leafy.
