I keep on seeing in a lot of posts 12/12 this and 12/12 that and "I'm just waiting for 12/12", "do you think they'l have enough time to flower by then?", so I wanted to clear something up: PLANTS DO NOT REQUIRE 12/12. The 12/12 light cycle is only a good rule of thumb for flowering INDOORS. While it may vary to an extent from strain to strain and indica to sativa, outdoors all cannabis will begin to show preflowers when it has reached sexual maturity, a puberty of sorts. It will then come into the flowering phase when the length of the nights falls into that particular plants threshold, usually around 14/10, while some sensitive varieties will require 12/12 most will begin to flower in the 13-14 range. Peace.
