I have currently painted the closet bright white and put a waterproof sheet on the floor. Yea it is defo CFL's I am looking to use to keep the heat and the price down a little. Just need to find the perfect light to grow my Autoflowering strains before I go any further.
Would something like this be any good?

I hear lots of good things about T5 fixtures so I think you should be good using that light with your autoflowering strains. If you are confused by the kelvin temperature ratings you find on these lights (for example this light has a temp. rating of 3000 kelvin) check out this link: Vegetative/Flowering Perfect Kelvins? - The Garden's Cure

this is the lighting setup that I am using.... 10 23w CFLs, and 10 dual tube 4ft T12s. I grow in 5 gallon buckets of dirt, and it has been working pretty good. The CFLs have been raised in this pic...normally they are only about 2 inches above the tops of the plants.
never mind... the stoopid thing is telling me I can't post attachments :wtf:

Currently growing one Toxic Blue(re-vegged), and a Nor Cal Daddys Girl(thanx IR). My cab is a 6 ft triangle thats 8ft high made out of 2x2 furring strips, and foil faced insulation board. the CFLs are in a home brew fixture of sorts that is suspended from a rope and pulley arrangement, to be raised and lowered as needed. the T12 fixtures are vertical and equally spaced around the cab. ventilation is from a 16 inch box fan blowing air into the bottom of the cab, and the top is open.
